Fill out our 2023 Member Survey and win a year's free membership

Every year around this time we ask our members to complete our Annual Member Survey, which is incredibly important for improving the services we offer to members. We would really appreciate it if you could take just 10 minutes to fill out this year’s survey.

As a special thank you, one lucky respondent will be selected at random and win a year’s free Canoe Wales membership. The survey and prize draw will be open for responses until
midnight on 28 February 2023.

COMPLETE THE SURVEY

In response to your feedback in 2022, we have increased our membership and communications team and output to you as members.  You told us that you wanted us to continue to develop communications and help you better understand the value that Canoe Wales membership provides to you.  It's still work in progress but we hope you have noticed developments and a bolstered presence in this area.

Clubs told us how they were experiencing difficulties recruiting volunteer coaches and leaders post COVID-19.  We launched at £10,000 fund which provided successful clubs with a £555 grant to deliver coaching development days for potential volunteer coaches and leaders.  We're still gathering feedback, but many clubs have told us they found the days really helpful for aspiring volunteer coaches and leaders and helped to provide a pathway to qualification.

You also told us about you increasing focus on the environment and sustainability.  As a consequence, we've appointed a new Environment & Sustainability Lead (Mike Raine) and we hope you have seen the increasing communication items which are aimed at raising awareness in this area and helping you as paddlers further appreciate and understand the environment in which you are paddling within.

We’ve released more paddling trails to help you organise a paddling trip in new locations, which many of you tell us you value. We’ve also supported more clubs to successfully receive grants from the Sport Wales Be Active Wales fund and are working with British Canoeing on a another series of winter webinars to further support clubs with a range of club development needs.

As ever, we know there is more we can do but we would really like to hear from you! We really do listen to your feedback, and we will make every effort to ensure your needs as a Canoe Wales member are met.

So, now is your chance – and we look forward to reading your responses!

Yours Faithfully,

The Canoe Wales Team
