Free kayaking lessons for women and girls

Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Club has a great team of female paddlers and they are now launching a training programme to bring on the next batch of awesome female paddlers, with some top female coaches coming in to help with the coaching.

Pool sessions (6 Weeks) - Saturday 1pm - 3pm on Saturday 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 3rd, 10th March. Working on basic paddling skills and getting our core skills sorted.

Lake sessions (6 Weeks) - Saturday 1pm - 3pm on our lake looking at moving things into the open water environment. 17th, 24th, 31st and April 7th, 14th, 21st.

Pool sessions (4 Weeks) - Saturday 1pm - 3pm on Saturday 28th April, 5th, 12th, 19th May - Back in the pool, these sessions will focus on rolling and water safety skills.

After the final session on the 19th May, there will be an additional development plan to take the team onto competition and river paddling.

The sessions are open to any female paddlers, but the ideal age range is those in school years 5, 6 and 7.

Llandysul are also looking for female coaches so if you fancy helping out with the sessions please let them know. They will have qualified coaches on hand but any additional help would be appreciated.

Cost - Its all free! (Well, sort of - it's free for the first 6 weeks, then after this the club would expect those looking to continue with the sessions to join the club as members, with Gold membership charged at £10 a month for an individual or £15 a month for a family).
