Applications now open for 2024 #ShePaddles Ambassadors

If you want to share your passion of paddlesport and inspire other women and girls to participate, you could be just who we are looking for!

#ShePaddles is an initiative that aims to get more women and girls into paddlesport, and to keep them progressing to where they want to be - whether that's paddling with family, volunteering as a coach at a local club, becoming an instructor or competing at a national level. 

The initiative was started by British Canoeing in 2020 as only 30% of members were female and surveys found that it wasn't that because women and girls don't want to take part in paddles sports, there are barriers that can be addressed with help and that's where #ShePaddles Ambassadors come in.

Canoe Wales are looking for 3 women (16yrs+) to join the the 13 other SP Ambassadors from the UK to be an inspiration to women and girls, encouraging them through active engagement at events and via social media, sharing your journey in paddlesport. You will work with a friendly and enthusiastic team of volunteers and will be asked to attend and support Canoe Wales events.

In return you will get #ShePaddles kit, lots of coverage on our social media channels, attend the Ambassador launch and many other opportunities to share your love and experience of paddling.
