#ShePaddlesCymru Festival at Plas y Brenin - 7-8 May 2022

We're holding our first ever #ShePaddles Cymru Festival Weekend on 7-8 May 2022 in partnership with our British Canoeing Delivery Partner, Plas Y Brenin National Outdoor Centre. The #ShePaddles Cymru Festival aims to encourage more women to embrace the world of paddlesport in a fun but safe environment. The weekend will be full of inspiring instructors, coaches, ambassadors, brands and people that fully support #ShePaddles to give you the best experience and create memories that will last a lifetime. The whole weekend will be a brilliant opportunity if you are considering taking up paddling, developing your skills or mixing with the professionals, so we aim to have something for everyone.


There will be 8 half-day workshops held throughout the weekend for you to choose from, led by inspiring instructors and our #ShePaddles Ambassadors – Katie Simmons, Clare Thomas & Lina Patel!


  1. Kayak Coaching Workshop
  2. Canoe Coaching Workshop
  3. SUP Coaching Workshop
  4. Safety and Rescue Workshop
  5. Navigation, Planning and Kit Preparation Workshop
  6. Children’s Paddlesport Fun Session
  7. Introduction to Paddlesport Workshop (opportunity to try all crafts and get a taste for life on the water)
  8. Freestyle Masterclass with Lowri Davies - British Canoeing Kayaker, European Freestyle Champion, Adventurer and Level 5 Coach


With the following Full Day Journeys available on Sunday:


  • Children's Paddlesport Day
  • Kayaking Journey
  • Sea Kayaking Journey
  • White Water Kayaking Journey
  • Canoeing Journey
  • Stand Up Paddle Board Journey
