Coaching and Leadership / Reasonable adjustments and access arrangements

REASONABLE ADJUSTMENTS AND ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS

Access Arrangements are pre-examination adjustments for candidates, based on evidence of need and normal ways of working.

They fall into two distinct categories:
  • Arrangements delegated to Canoe Wales by British Canoeing Awarding Body
  • Arrangements requiring prior British Canoeing Awarding Body approval

Access arrangements

Access Arrangements allow candidates or learners with special educational needs, disabilities or temporary injuries to access the assessment without changing the demands of the assessment.

For any arrangements, learners need to discuss the requirements with the Canoe Wales Coaching Manager prior to the assessment taking place . Decisions are made on an individual basis.

We will consult the British Canoeing Awarding Body’s ‘Reasonable Adjustments Policy’, as well as contacting the Awarding Body for any advice and guidance.
