Canoe Wales publishes COVID-19 Recovery Plan for Paddlesport

Jen Browning • Jun 03, 2020

A phased approach to getting everyone back on the water in Wales

We are pleased to share our COVID-19 Recovery Plan for Paddlesport, which details the phases we think are needed for a safe, responsible return to paddlesport in Wales. We hope this plan will be useful for members of the paddlesport community, site managers and policy makers - and anyone else interested in how we can safely return to paddlesport and how Canoe Wales will continue to provide up-to-date advice and support to paddlers during this crisis.

Canoe Wales CEO Jen Browning said: "While we can't predict what the future holds, we think our plan sets out how we can get more people back on the water in phases, enjoying the sport that they love safely. At the same time, it is still incredibly important that everyone continues to follow the latest guidance from Canoe Wales and Welsh Government and keeps the risk as low as possible when paddling to protect our emergency services. Getting to the amber and green phases of our plan will rely on everyone doing their part to keep our communities safe."
