CAUTION!

WCA have been made aware that watergates have been installed on the Nant Bran. It is likely that in flows where the river is paddleable it will be difficult to avoid the hazards.

They are in the area around where the road crosses the river near Soar.

Any details of trip reports would be great if possible, any dates when paddled useful - email  . The river is grade III in medium spate but solid IV in flood conditions, when a certain amount of expertise is required to get down in one piece. In these conditions it is testing at the grade!
