Canoe Wales is the national governing body for paddle sport in Wales. We:

  • Manage the National White Water Centre which is located on the river Tryweryn in Bala, North Wales
  • Represent the interests of our club and individual members
  • Advocate on behalf of the interests of the sport in Wales
  • Provide coaching and development programmes from local to international level
  • Stage national and international competitions.

Course Authorisation Request

This form makes requesting a course authorisation number quicker and simpler for coaches by ensuring that you give us all of the information we require straight away so that there is no delay in you receiving the authorisation. The form should be filled out by the coach planning to run the BCU course.

We will check that you are able to provide the course that your a re registering and check the contact details given. If the email address given does not match that of our records, we may use alternative means to check with the named coach that this is a genuine course authorisation request.

Once we have checked that the course is valid we will send you your course authorisation by email, along with any required paperwork, such as a course schedule. We aim to have your course in the dates list (if requested) within two weeks of you receiving the course authorisation number.
