Canoe Wales is the national governing body for paddle sport in Wales. We:

  • Manage the National White Water Centre which is located on the river Tryweryn in Bala, North Wales
  • Represent the interests of our club and individual members
  • Advocate on behalf of the interests of the sport in Wales
  • Provide coaching and development programmes from local to international level
  • Stage national and international competitions.

Aber Kayakers   c/o Pete Wilkins – 01970 828 701 - The club encourage participation of families. and aims to enable people of all ages and both sexes to paddle.  We hold regular pool sessions (Sun. 4-5) during the winter and outdoor sessions are held each Thursday evening.  A programme of activities is published every 3 months.  We are interested in slalom, wild water racing, polo, surf, sea and river touring and general recreation.  We can accommodate beginners and people with disabilities.

Colwyn Canoe Club c/o Christine Plant, www.canoecolwyn.org.uk   - Colwyn is a community club (we are one of the longest established clubs in N.Wales).  We paddle in different environments from sea to white water, estuaries to lakes.  We provide training Sept. to May in Eirias Park Swimming Pool.  Along with Pool Blades syllabus, members are able to progress through proficiency standards and coaching quals if they wish, or just get out and paddle.  We are interested in kayaking and canoeing, sea and river touring, polo and general recreation.  We can accommodate beginners and people with disabilities.
