Red Tape Challenge focuses on Water and Access
The Government wanted encourage people to discuss regulations that the public face. The Red Tape Challenge gives an opportunity for people to "Get Involved" and have their say about things that have annoyed them for years.
Currently there are two areas of interest for paddlers that are under review;
"Water and Marine"
and
"Biodiversity, wildlife management, landscape, countryside and recreation"
.
Water and Marine covers canals, perhaps you have been frustrated by the licensing system or some other element of regulation? You can make your comment here.
Biodiversity, Wildlife management, landscape, countryside and recreation covers a range of areas that affect paddlers. The CRoW Act contains exclusions for carrying a boat on open access land, or perhaps you feel that this should be reviewed to include water for recreational use.
It is easy to not respond, but if you don't can you really carry on moaning about Red Tape that you don't like?
