Course provider workshops for paperwork

As the coaching scheme has changed over the last few years, there have been changes to the paperwork. This has resulted in the Canoe Wales coaching and administration department seeing an increase in received paperwork that does not fit the criteria that is required for submission.

Canoe Wales require the paperwork submitted by course providers to be filled out correctly and within the criteria laid out in the scheme. We recognise that it is essential that we support course providers in doing this, so that all benefit from fewer errors being made.

In order to update course providers, we are running two workshops on how to submit course paperwork correctly. These will be run at Plas Menai on the 25th July at 18:00 in the North and at CIWW on the 10th August at 18:00 in the South. Please contact Marianne on marianne.davies@canoewales.com or 07815538078 to book your place.

We strongly recommend that you attend one of these dates.

From the week commencing the 3rd  September, any course paperwork submitted incorrectly will be returned to the course provider, and queries from candidates will be referred back to the course provider to resolve. Canoe Wales is in the process of considering implementing an admin fee to cover the increased costs for those course providers who repeatedly submit invalid paperwork. We will advise of any change in due course.

We look forward to seeing you at one of the workshops.
