Canoe Wales is the national governing body for paddle sport in Wales. We:
Manage the National White Water Centre which is located on the river Tryweryn in Bala, North Wales
Represent the interests of our club and individual members
Advocate on behalf of the interests of the sport in Wales
Provide coaching and development programmes from local to international level
Stage national and international competitions.

The Welsh Rivers Guidebook launch and competition
The original Welsh Rivers Guidebook released in the 90's was an amazing piece of work for Chris Sladden to have completed. It highlighted the sheer variety of water (mainly white!) in Wales and inspired a generation of paddlers.
Canoe Wales has been very grateful to Chris for him allowing us to display the original text on our website and it is one of the highest areas visited.
On the 7th and 8th of July, a new version of The Welsh Rivers is being launched at
Cardiff International White Water
. At this event, you'll be able to paddle with the new authors Patrick Clissold and Tom Laws along with Chris Sladden. The event combines music, food and paddling, and we hope, a bit of good weather.
The authors along with LowePro are holding a photo competition-yes, you need to bring an actual photo! There are three themes for the photo's:
