Membership FAQs
Who can join Canoe Wales?
Anyone. Whether you live in Wales or not, you can join Canoe Wales to show your support.
Which membership do I need?
Coaches and competitors join as comprehensive members, which lets them hold coaching qualifications and compete in ranking competitions. Most other paddlers join as basic members (which gives you third party liability insurance) or supporter members. Only paddlers who live in Wales can join as comprehensive or basic members.
What if I live in England?
You can still join as a supporting members. If you want the benefits of full federal membership, you'll need to join the British Canoeing Union instead - http://www.bcu.org.uk or phone 0845 370 9500.
How can I join Canoe Wales?
You can ask for a membership form, then pay by credit or
debit card over the phone, or you can send us a cheque for the appropriate amount, along with your name, address, phone number and email address. Just call us on 01678 521199.
Can I register my family as a group?
We don't offer a group membership for families.
However, once one adult registers as an individual member, then their
partner and/or children can register as individual 'family' members at a
reduced rate - either £18 each for comprehensive membership or £15 each for basic.
How long does my membership run?
12 months from the date you join.
