It’s often possible to find grants, subsidies or funding for clubs in Wales for specific projects or improvements.

One of the most popular is the Sport Wales Development Grant. These can be applied for once by a venue and can be up to a maximum £25,000. Most successful applications have been based on collaborative approaches so working alongside other local venues or canoe clubs would certainly help any application. On a more local basis it is always worth investigating the Community Chest Grant with your Local Authority Sports Development. These grants are aimed at increasing participation and improving standards at your venue. These grants can be applied for annually and are up to a maximum of £1,500.

If you want to find out more about potential grants, or would like some advice in applying for them, call our National Development Officer Nigel Midgley on 07971 783 080, or email
