Several rivers combine to form the Daugleddau Estuary below Picton Point. The Daugleddau between Lawrenny SN011061 and the Cleddau Bridge is a zoned waterski area, and suitable precautions should be taken. Further Information can be obtained from the Water Ranger of the Milford Haven Waterway Tel 01437 764591, or the Harbourmaster Tel. 01646 693091. An annual race takes place on the Daugleddau.

The Tidal Cleddau (Eastern)

Tidal distance 7.5 km

Canaston GR066151 to Picton Point GR003117.

The Cleddau combines with others to form the Daugleddau Estuary below Picton Point. Limited access is available at Canaston Bridge and more difficult access, particularly at low tide, is possible at Picton Point. The slip at Landshipping Quay, and the one at Black Tar, Llangwm, can be used by canoes.

The Tidal Cleddau (Western)

Tidal distance 9.5 km.

Treffgarne Bridge GR959230 - Picton Point GR003117.

The river combines with others to form the Daugleddau Estuary below Picton Point. Access is available at Haverfordwest, but not at the tidal limit. The slip at Landshipping Quay can be used by canoes.

Carew River

Tidal distance 4.5 km

Carew GR047038 - Jenkins Point GR008059.

The river can be canoed at most states of the tide but has muddy banks. The lower estuary gives access to the Daugleddau. Access is possible near the tidal limit but access to the lower estuary is more difficult. The slip at Lawrenny offers the best access point.

Creswell River

Tidal distance 7 km

Bishops Bridge GR066075 - Jenkins Point GR008059.

The river combines with others to form the Daugleddau Estuary. Access is possible near the tidal limit but access to the lower estuary is more difficult. The slip at Lawrenny offers the best access point.

Pembroke River

Tidal Distance 4.5km

Pembroke GR983016 - Milford Haven GR905056.

The river can be canoed at most states of the tide, but has muddy banks. The lower estuary gives access to Milford Haven. The channel is buoyed from Crow Pool off Pennar Point and for much of its length it is shallow or dries at low water. Access is straightforward near the tidal limit but access to the lower estuary is more difficult with exposed mud on many tides.
