| Description: The club began in 1979. We have about 60
members and our aim is to promote the sport of canoeing within the Snowdonia
and Anglesey areas. We are mainly a touring rather than a competitive club,
with strong interests in sea touring, white-water rivers and surfing. We
want to help canoeists within the area to meet one another, exchange ideas
and information and have real fun canoeing. The club newsletter and weekly
notice board give information about club events and activities. |
| Interests: We meet on Monday nights, except Bank Holidays. In
the winter, we meet at Plas Menai for indoor pool practice and socialising. In
the summer, May to September, we have a programme of outdoor paddles. Throughout
the year, we also have meets catering for a range of differt Sunday of the month, open boat
outings mid-month and trips to rivers such as the Dee (access permitting!). |

Membership: Our membership year runs from 1st October to 30th
September. The categories of membership are adult, junior and family. All
paddling members will be affiliated to the WCA either through the club
membership fee or by joining the WCA individually. Current club and WCA fees
are printed on the membership form. Members should read and keep to the general
rules of the club which are given on the membership form. Membership
application/renewal forms are available from the Club secretary or membership
secretary.

Monday evenings 7.00pm during the summer at various
locations around Anglesey and the mainland. Plus programme of events at
weekends. During the winter, Monday nights are at Plas Menai pool. Contact
