BCU 2 Star

The BCU 2 Star is an improvement award that helps paddlers develop fundamental paddlesport skills on flat water in a variety of craft. The emphasis is on gaining a breadth of experience, creating the desired movement of the boat and developing an understanding of how the paddle, boat and water interact.

The PDFs below give more information on what is involved in the award.

Find a course

We do not require BCU 2 star courses to be registered with us and as such do not know where and when they will run, although some are run by the community coach scheme and can be found within our dates list. The best way to find a BCU 2 star course is to get in touch with your nearest club or affiliated centre.

Providing BCU 2 Star

Coaches who are BCU UKCC Level 2 or old scheme BCU Level 2 or higher can provide the BCU 2 star award - all you have to do is register with us using the star award assessor registration form.
